rmvbg in your browser: cut out, capture and mark up

Right-click any photo to remove its background, take full-page screenshots with arrows, text and blur, and send your own photos and videos to rmvbg.

Version 1.2 · about 40 KB · no account needed

What it does

Right-click any photo

Choose “Remove background with rmvbg” and the cutout opens in a new tab, ready to download.

Full-page screenshots

Capture the whole page top to bottom, or just what's on screen. Long pages are stitched together for you.

Mark up anything

Arrows, boxes, circles, highlighter, pen, text, numbered steps, blur for private details and crop — then save PNG/JPG or copy.

Attach your own files

Send photos to the background remover, product, passport or profile tools, or a video to Video to MP3 or Trim video.

Grab photos from a page

Open the extension, press Find photos, tick up to 10 and cut them all out together — great for supplier listings.

Paste a photo link

Drop any image link into the extension to fetch the original and get a transparent PNG.

Every rmvbg tool, one click away

Product photos, passport photos, profile pictures, video to MP3 and trim video, plus your saved photos.

Keyboard shortcuts

Alt+Shift+R opens rmvbg. Alt+Shift+S takes a full-page screenshot.

Private by design

It only reads a page when you ask for photos or a screenshot. Screenshots stay on your computer. No tracking, no account.

Questions

Is the rmvbg extension free?

Yes. The extension and every rmvbg tool are free, with no watermark, no credits and no signup.

Which browsers does it work in?

Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc and other Chromium browsers on desktop.

Why do I install it with Developer mode?

The extension is waiting for its Chrome Web Store listing, so for now it's added as an unpacked extension. It's the same code — you can open the files and read them.

Does it upload my photos?

No. Photos and videos you attach open in rmvbg inside your own browser and are processed on your computer. For a photo on a website, only its link is sent so rmvbg can fetch it. Nothing is saved unless you choose Save to account.

Where do my screenshots go?

Nowhere. Full-page and visible-area screenshots open in the extension's own editor on your computer, and are only saved when you press Save PNG, Save JPG or Copy.

Can I take a screenshot of any page?

Almost any website. Chrome doesn't let extensions capture its own pages, such as settings, new tabs or the Chrome Web Store. Very long pages stop after about 30 screens.

Why didn't a photo work?

Some photos are drawn inside the page or sit behind a login, so they have no public link. Save the photo, then drop it on rmvbg.xyz instead.

Prefer not to install anything?

Every tool works right here on the website.
