For Amazon & eBay sellers
From phone photo to live listing
How Amazon and eBay sellers use rmvbg to turn quick phone shots into clean, marketplace-ready listing photos — free, in bulk and without uploading anything.
The listing photo workflow
Five steps, about a minute per product once your photos are on your computer.
Step 1
Shoot on any plain surface
Use your phone near a window, with the product on a table or sheet that contrasts with it. No studio or white sweep needed — rmvbg replaces the background.
Step 2
Bring the photos in
Drop the files from your phone or computer, or paste supplier photo links into Image from link to download the originals first.
Step 3
Make the main image
Open Product photos and pick Amazon or eBay. Each product is cut out, centered on pure white and sized (2000 px for Amazon, 1600 px for eBay).
Step 4
Add extra images
For the other image slots, use the background remover with a soft color or a photo behind the product to show scale, use and detail.
Step 5
Download and list
Download every photo together as one ZIP and upload them in Seller Central or your eBay listing form.
Amazon vs eBay main image
What each marketplace asks for, and what rmvbg's preset gives you.
Amazon
- Pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255)
- Product fills about 85% of the image
- At least 1000 px on the longest side so zoom works
- No text, logos or watermarks
rmvbg Amazon preset: 2000 × 2000 px on white, product fills 85%.
eBay
- At least 500 px on the longest side, 1600 px recommended
- White or plain light background works best
- No borders, text or watermarks
- Show the actual item you're selling
rmvbg eBay preset: 1600 × 1600 px on white, product fills 85%.
Marketplaces update their photo rules from time to time — check Seller Central or eBay's seller help for the latest requirements.

Check before you upload
- Background is pure white on the main image, with no shadows or props left over.
- The product fills most of the frame and nothing important is cut off.
- No text, logos, badges or watermarks on the main image.
- Every angle uses the same preset, so the gallery looks consistent.
- Edges look clean when zoomed in — check fine details like straps and cables.
Seller questions
What background does Amazon want on the main image?
Pure white (RGB 255, 255, 255), with the product filling about 85% of the frame. rmvbg's Amazon preset does exactly that on a 2000 × 2000 px square.
What size should eBay photos be?
eBay accepts photos from 500 px on the longest side and recommends 1600 px for zoom. rmvbg's eBay preset makes 1600 × 1600 px squares on white.
Can I use one set of photos for both Amazon and eBay?
Yes. Run your photos through the Amazon preset and then the eBay preset — each takes seconds and gives you a ZIP for each marketplace.
Is it free for a whole catalog?
Yes. There are no credits, no per-photo fees and no watermark, so you can process every product you sell.
Are my unreleased products kept private?
Yes. Cutting out happens in your browser, so product photos are not uploaded to rmvbg.
